The design assignment encompasses the detailed design for constructing a new branching road axis, envisioned as the Sixth Road or Sixth Parallel Road of the city, connecting Saranda's western coastal area with the new city access points as foreseen by the Saranda Municipality and Local Plans. This will divert and distribute the seasonally heavy traffic away from the city's local road network.
The scope of this design assignment is the implementation of the Sixth Road detailed design, enabling easy traffic organization and management in the area. This assignment includes:
a) Designing a traffic circulation scheme that facilitates smooth traffic flow.
b) Designing the road axis to accommodate the most suitable circulation scheme for users.
c) Designing the connections of this road axis with the capillary infrastructure of other city roads to guarantee traffic flow towards the city center
