Description

The main object of this assignment is the monitoring and measurements through the relevant technology in the public transport service of the City of Tirana. The results generated by this process for the city public transport will be:

  • Line profiles - layout and station locations
  • Operating speeds
  • The average occupancy rate of bus vehicles
  • Volumes of boarding and alighting on buses of each city line
  • The average occupancy rate of bus vehicles
  • Service frequencies
  • GTFS data (General Transit Feed Specification: General specifications of transport supply, travel planning, accessibility analysis)

Once the data is processed according to the required format, we will be able to obtain service characteristics by line, passenger activity in the city transport network and also an accessibility analysis. The monitoring reports will support the future development of the reporting of the volume/reliability of the use of the city's public transport in Tirana, based on the GPS system.
