Description

This Project has been prepared in partnership with the JV IPF6-Hill International – Planet. The overall objective of the project is the reconstruction of Quays 1 & 2, aiming to: - Enhance the quays for safety and structural reasons (rehabilitate and provide a bearing capacity of 4 tons/m²) - Obtain an adequate water depth to ensure the necessary conditions for safe entrance and sailing, as well as processing of ships with larger capacity (dredging activities in the basin of the Durres Port and in the entrance channel will be necessary). The purpose of the technical assistance (TA) is to complete the project preparation stage, advance the project to full maturity, assess its financial/economic viability, and inform the investment decision-making process through: review of the existing Detailed Design, identification of possible alternatives & selection of preferred option, technical option analysis and assessment of environmental and social constraints for each option, preparation of the Feasibility Study Report, update of Detailed Design / upgrade of Conceptual Design to Detailed Design, preparation of the BoQ and preparation of tender documents, preparation of Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and preparation of Cost Benefit Analysis for Feasibility Study. Construction works amount is estimated to be 40.8 million €.
