This project is located in the Albania-Montenegro border area and will connect the Bridge over the Buna River with Shkoder - Velipoje national road, the Border Crossing Point and the supporting infrastructure. Referring to the approved project of the Bune Bridge, the road will continue with the same road category, which is C1. The study will take into consideration the special environmental status of this area, since the connecting road will cross the Protected Area of the Buna River and is defined as a Ramsar area (area especially protected as a habitat for waterfowl species), as well as Law No. 32/202 3, date 18.05.2023 "For the ratification of the agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the government of Montenegro for the construction of the cross-border bridge over the Buna/Bojana River".
