This Project is being prepared in partnership with the foreign company TYPSA. The purpose of this consultancy contract is to assess the feasibility of an initial Bus Rapid Transit system in terms of technical, financial, economic, environmental and social, legal, institutional and operational issues on the following corridors:
•East-West line from Kinostudio to Kombinat
•Unaza (Circular Line City Center; 3rd Ring)
•Tirana e Re (Circular Line; central and western part of the City) In parallel, the mobility demand forecast data will be updated for the City. Ultimately, the Study will prepare a substantiated foundation for the City to obtain funds for the phased implementation of the initial Bus Rapid Transit system.
